Waterman AHW (Brisbane) has been appointed by Mirvac Retail as building services and structural engineers for the ongoing upgrades and fitouts to Orion Shopping Centre.
Orion Springfield opened in March 2007 with the completion of a 32,000m² retail precinct. This is currently represented by approximately 110 retailers within a Main Street, Town Square, and connecting malls. Orion is anchored by a Woolworths supermarket, Big W discount department store and Aldi supermarket, with 2,200 car parking spaces in total of which a large amount are undercover.
To date, Waterman has delivered:
- MEP reporting and advice for ongoing AC issues.
- Full MEP and structural design documentation for 2,000m² Spotlight tenancy fitout, both base build and tenancy fitout.
- Project Management of AC chiller No 1 rebuild.
- ESD analysis of existing chilled water system.
