Oki Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah

Waterman were appointed as Structural Engineers for Oki Jubilee Stadium. The ground is currently the home of the St.George Dragons.

The key structural features are:

Extensions to existing structure
Precast main support beams
Precast seating
Cantilever roof

Sydney Aquarium, Darling Harbour

Waterman provided all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire and specialist lighting services to the Sydney Aquarium, located at Darling Harbour.

The project included an upgrade of the existing foyer, administration area, ticketing area and the servery.

New inclusions consisted of a bar, child play area, gelataria, film kiosk, waterfall and outdoor seating facility.

Specialty features / icons included a new shark's head entrance portico, media wall and a translucent coral feature wall.

Darling Harbour Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sydney

Waterman undertook electrical system designs for 25,000m2 exhibition facilities over 5 halls.

A state-of-the-art system utilising the readily available sea water to cool the central chilled water facility was also implemented on this project.

Waterman also designed the air conditioning system for the 3,000 seat exhibition centre with break-out rooms and dining facilities.

Convention Centre, Sydney

Ettalong Beach Club Resort

Ettalong Beach Club Resort is a mixed development on the Central Coast of New South Wales (just north of Sydney).

The ground floor is a large club (approximately 6,000m2) with various bars, lounge, dining and gaming machine areas. Above the club is over 220 apartments spread over 8 floors, many which overlook Ettalong Beach or the foothills behind.

Waterman's consulting engineering role included mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection and lift services.

Aussie Stadium, Sydney
(formerly known as Sydney Football Stadium)

Aussie Stadium at Moore Park, hosts numerous Rugby Union, Rugby League, Australian Rules and Soccer matches.

During the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, the Stadium co-hosted the football events and the cycling road race started and finished outside the Stadium.

Waterman undertook the design and construction phase services for air conditioning to all enclosed areas and mechanical systems for all food and beverage preparation and distribution areas.

Grahame Park Stadium, Gosford, NSW

A 25,000 seat sports stadium at Gosford where Waterman designed the electrical power supply and reticulation, low glare field lighting suitable for high definition TV broadcasting.

Waterman also designed the lighting, fire, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems for the Grand Stand, corporate boxes and catering facilities.

Provision was made for mobile broadcast cabling systems and a field containment watering system with chemical dosing.

Sydney Opera House

Waterman undertook an investigation and report for the upgrade of 21 distribution boards throughout the Opera House.

Circuit design, system specification and installation review of electrical controls for the main stage fire doors.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Waterman were invovled in the development of a prototype automatic E-Tag toll collection system for the Bridge toll-ways. Waterman were also involved in the implementation and trialing of the first E-Tag system.

Willoughby Leisure Centre, Willoughby, Sydney

Waterman was involved in the refurbishment of this sports complex which contains an indoor heated swimming pool complex combining training and leisure facilities, gymnasium and 5 basketball courts.

Waterman designed the air conditioning system, a natural ventilation system which included methane ventilation to the under-floor areas.

Waterman undertook the design of the lighting system.
