Waterman has introduced an innovative approach to overcome power availability problems within the QVB Refurbishment Project.

Replacing the existing electrical chillers with new Absorption Liquid Chillers was a crucial element for the overall upgrade, thus reducing the building electrical load and allowing further upgrade works:

The chillers conversion included the following works:

• Existing chillers replacement with the new absorption chillers powered by the low pressure steam
• Existing hot water boilers replaced with the new gas fired steam boilers and associated tanks.
• New steam/hot water heat exchangers to replace the existing.
• Modifications and upgrade of the existing condenser water system.

Centro Roseland Shopping Centre

• Redevelopment and extensions to existing shopping centre
• Provision of all structural engineering services.

The Galleries Victoria Shopping Centre, Sydney

Located in the CBD of Sydney, this shopping centre occupies 4 levels and covers a retail area of over 16,000m2.

Waterman were the design consultants for mechanical and electrical services and since completion, Waterman have been appointed the base building consultants responsible for any fitout work and alteration work of mechanical and electrical services.

• 3 levels of carparking over 25,000m2 requiring a specialised approach to ventilation

St Clair Shopping Centre, St Clair, Sydney

• Upgrade and extension of existing single level shopping centre
• Re-design and relocation of Woolworth's resulting in extra area for 25 specialty shops
• Enclosing entire Mall area (9,000m2)
